This year, our resident Dare to Know Theatre are doing things a bit differently.

There’s so much more to theatre than just creating a professional production. Community, local talent and creativity are just a few examples of why we love what we do. So why not have more of that aswell? 

We’ve spoken to you, we’ve listened to you and we’ve dreamed. Dare to Create: Oldham Arts Festival is all about you. Through live performances, artist workshops and cultural experiences, we’re inviting every single person in Oldham, every creative and every artist to a week long celebration of creativity. This is your space. To feel empowered, inspired and be a part of something new.

We’re incredibly excited to be taking over both Mill 1 & Mill 2 at 1853 Studios and Lyceum Theatre Oldham to bring world class performances and creative workshops, led by local artists, to you. Join us, for over 30 live performances and workshops across the week, all created for you. With comedy, dance, theatre and spoken word, there’s something for everyone.

Performances and workshops will be taking place accross our studios in both Mill 1 + Mill 2 galleries, as well as other locations in the town.
