The Weight of Dream continues the conversation started her solo show, ODE TO BECOMING, hosted at PINK in Stockport. This new body of work highlights what it means to carry dreams - especially as a woman shaped by culture, tradition, and personal history.
These pieces speak to the quiet and sometimes heavy realities of femininity and womanhood. They explore how our stories, expectations, and hopes live in our bodies and how dreaming, while beautiful, isn’t always light or easy. It can carry the weight of everything we’ve been told to be, and everything we’re trying to become.
Rooted in the artists cultural background and shaped by her own experiences, this exhibition is about navigating the space between where we come from and where we hope to go. It’s about holding space for contradictions, for softness and strength, for longing and resistance.

Getting here and accessibility information:
This event takes place in 1853 Studios' Mill 1 Gallery, which is not wheelchair accessible. There are 3 steps up from the street entrance, and then the gallery is accessed by a lift. There is not an accessible toilet on this floor.

Our nearest metrolink stop is Westwood (10 minutes walk from the studios), catch the Oldham/Rochdale lines from around Greater Manchester.
Look out for the 1853 Studios branded grey steel door (pictured) on Waddington Street.
When you arrive please text the gallery number on the door and a member of staff will escort you up to the gallery. During the preview evening, the doors will be open so you can make your way straight in.
